Call for Sponsors

Howdy, y’all! This year WordCamp US 2017 will be hosted in Nashville, Tennessee, December 1-3. Now in its third year, WordCamp US is the premier North American WordCamp. Once again, this event will include two days of programmed sessions on Friday and Saturday, as well a full day contributor event on Sunday.

Our 2015 and 2016 events in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania were wildly successful. We hosted upwards of 2,000 attendees at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, and an additional 2,400 comprised our global live stream audience. This year, in 2017, we anticipate at least 2,000 attendees plus a live stream available to anyone in the world free of charge!  We’ll be bringing WordPress education, inspiration, and fun to more people than ever. And that means a bigger global reach for our sponsors too!

Simply put, without our generous sponsors, WordCamp US would not be affordable to the vast majority of the WordPress community. For just $40 our attendees have two full days to gain insight from our speakers, network with others, and learn more about the open source WordPress project whose mission is to democratize publishing through Open Source, GPL software. All of our valued sponsors, by donating to WordCamp US, continue to make this mission a reality. Thank you both to our sponsors, and all of those who sponsor WordCamps around the world!

Demonbreun Individual Sponsorship: $300
In addition to more traditional sponsorships, we’ll also offer a limited number of $300 Demonbreun level micro-sponsorships, that will include admission for one person. These micro-sponsorships are intended for freelancers, tiny but mighty companies, or WordPress fans who wish to give a little more than the cost of general admission.

“What exactly is a Demonbreun you may ask? For that matter, how do you pronounce Demonbreun? Is it demon-brew, or Demon-brew-en? Well, as it turns out, it’s Dem-um-bree-an, and it’s not a what, it’s a who. Timothy Demonbreun was a French-Canadian immigrant who came to what is now Nashville on his own as a teenager and essentially became its founding father inspiring many with his hard work, care for others, and resolve to get things done.”

This ticket is intended for WordPress professionals or people who recognize that WordCamp US is as valuable as more traditionally-priced industry conferences and want to help support the event. If Demonbreun is the ultimate undefinable immigrant whose value was unmeasurable, then his name represents our micro-sponsor level well. You get everything you would from a General Admission ticket plus a sense of satisfaction in knowing that you’re giving extra financial support. Plus, you’ll be listed by name in the micro-sponsors thank you section on the Sponsors page!
You can purchase the individual sponsorship on the Tickets page.

When we reach our fundraising goal, we will close sponsorships, so don’t delay if you want to help make WordCamp US and unforgettable event!
